Ambassador Marciano Paynor, Jr. on 2007 Southeast Asian Games in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand

2 years after Manila, Philippines hosted the Southeast Asian Games, now Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand is hosting the regional sporting event to coincide with the commemoration of 80th birthday of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The Kapamilya campaign of ABS-CBN was first done in coinciding ABS-CBN’s two grand events: the network’s Philippine Independence Centennial party at Expo Filipino in June 1998, and the nationwide and worldwide multimedia year-end broadcast “The ABS-CBN Worldwide Celebration of the New Millennium” last December 31, 1999 to January 1, 2000 and the papal coverages "A Journey for the Youth" last January 12 to 16, 1995 and "Thank You sa Malasakit: Pope Francis sa Pilipinas" last January 15 to 19, 2015.
