Patay ang vice president ng isang kumpanya sa Tarlac makaraang malunod ito sa triathlon event na kanyang sinalihan sa Nasugbu, Batangas kamakalawa ng hapon.

Base sa imbestigasyon ng Nasugbu police, kasali ang biktima sa ginaganap na triathlon event sa Hamilo coast sa Nasugbu nang mapansin ng mga lifeguard na hindi na ito lumitaw sa malalim na bahagi ng dagat.

Agad itong sinagip ng mga tauhan ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) na nagbabantay sa event at isinugod sa Jabez Medical Center subalit ideneklara na itong dead on arrival ng doktor.

Patuloy pa ang imbes­tigasyon at pagsusuri sa labi ng biktima at inaalam kung bakit ito nalunod sa nasabing event.

Nakaraang buwan nang namatay ang atleta si Eric Nadal Mediavillo matapos itong atakihin sa puso sa gitna ng 1.9 kilometer race sa swimming habang lumahok sa Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Philippines Asia Pacific Championships sa Shangri-La Resort sa Mactan Island, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu noong Agosto 6.
